i would use a telephoto lens to take photos of flower landscapes
i would use a prime lens to take portraits close up
i would use a wide angle lens to take photos of big landscapes
depth of field - the distance between object (a) and object (b)
light - if there is too much light its really bright and doesn't come out right but if its just right than the photo comes out perfect
shadows - if there is not enough light the photo come out dark and you can't see the subject clearly
diffusion - changing the picture in some way using something in front of the lens to alter it
exposure - too much light
aperture - the opening of the hole that lets the light in
shutter speed - how fast or slow the hole is open
ISO - how much light you are letting in, in a dim place if you set the ISO right than you will take in more light
